The City of Nogales received a Community Assistance Visit (CAV) from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) in 2004, which highlighted the need to review and address issues in Mariposa Wash Tributary #2. Following a September 2005 study session, the Mayor and City Council mandated that action be taken to address the concerns expressed in the CAV.
