The City of Nogales received a Community Assistance Visit (CAV) from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) in 2004, which highlighted the need to review and address issues in Mariposa Wash Tributary #2. Following a September 2005 study session, the Mayor and City Council mandated that action be taken to address the concerns expressed in the CAV.

The Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR) conducted a Community Assistance Visit (CAV) with your staff on March 25, 2004, for the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).  Following the CAV, a report was generated on April 22, 2004, which identified “Community Actions Needed” in order to stay compliant with the NFIP and provided your staff up to 90 days to submit the information requested in the CAV report.  To date, the issues listed below remain unresolved.  [read more]
