La compañía de asesores Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates ha sido contratada para ayudar en este proyecto. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Las opiniones de los ciudadanos serán un componente vital para la Revisión de Factibilidad y Plan de Implementación de un sistema de Transporte en Nogales. El Equipo que llevará a cabo el proyecto tendrá una serie de talleres públicos durante el transcurso del mismo.  El segundo taller público se llevará a cabo en el Centro para Personas Mayores/Nogales Senior Citizen Center, 125 Madison St. el día martes 6 de junio, de las 10:00 a.m. a las 11:30 a.m.  Esta reunión se enfocará en las necesidades de los residentes adultos mayores de Nogales. The Project Team is hosting a series of public workshops during the course of the project.  The project’s second public workshop will be held at the Nogales Senior Citizen Center, 125 Madison Street on Tuesday, June 6th, from 10:00AM to 11:30AM.  This meeting will focus on the needs of Nogales’ senior citizens.  Times and locations for future public workshops will be announced as the project advances.&lt;/p&gt;

The purpose of the study is to identify the need and feasibility of vehicular and pedestrian overpasses; identify the general location of overpasses that are determined to be needed and feasible; identify the responsibility of the City and other jurisdictions in regards to further action; and conduct valid origin/destination analysis of the pedestrian environment and public transportation services.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>New Park for City of Nogales</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;After last night&#039;s City Council meeting, at which the Council approved the use of nearly 900,000 dollars for the construction of a new city park, residents of Nogales can look forward to some spectacular new public park facilities in their community.  The Council voted on the use of funds to create the new park on the City&#039;s 22-acre property located along Western Avenue, located just east of Interstate 19.   The City envisions that the park will be created in several phases over the next two years; City Council demonstrated its commitment to this vision by approving the use of $500,000 from the City&#039;s 2006 revenue bonds in addition to requesting $385,705 of funding from the state&#039;s Community Development Block Grant.  City Council also accepted a proposal made by the national nonprofit Trust for Public Land to develop a master park plan for the site based on input from the community, which the City will use to guide the park&#039;s construction.   The Trust for Public Land has announced plans to hire McGann &amp;amp; Associates, a prominent regional landscape architecture firm, for this project.  &lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Nineteen Year Veteran Is Named Fire Chief</title>

&lt;p&gt;Nogales, AZ &amp;ndash; City Manager Jaime Fontes, announced that Interim Fire Chief Lorenzo Rodriguez Jr. has been appointed as the Nogales Fire Department (NFD) Chief.&amp;nbsp; He was appointed Interim Chief in March of last year to replace Interim Fire Chief William Sanchez.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Rodriguez has been certified as Hazardous Materials Technician, Fire Marshall, and Rope Rescue.&amp;nbsp; He is a lifelong resident of Nogales and his career has been inspired by his father Lorenzo Rodriguez who retired as Captain from NFD in 1987.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;ldquo;Chief Rodriguez was selected based on his qualifications.&amp;nbsp; He has served the Fire Department for nineteen years, and I am positive that the department will be in good hands,&amp;rdquo; said City Manager Fontes.&amp;nbsp; He added, &amp;ldquo;Chief Rodriguez has been a wonderful leader for the Fire Department.&amp;nbsp; He has been instrumental in working with other local public safety agencies, as well as the Nogales, Sonora Fire Department.&amp;nbsp; Also, he has lead the Nogales Fire Department in becoming compliant with the National Incident Management System principals.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Furthermore, Mayor Kramer stated, &amp;ldquo;I take this opportunity to congratulate and wish the best of luck to Chief Rodriguez.&amp;nbsp; I am glad that a native of our community was chosen as Fire Chief.&amp;nbsp; He has moved up through the ranks of the department, and knows first hand about the challenges that our fire fighters have to face on a daily basis.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Finally, Fire Chief Lorenzo Rodriguez Jr. commented, &amp;ldquo;As Fire Chief one of my main goals is to continue working with City Staff, Fire Department Staff, the Nogales Firefighters Local 2763 and with the local, State, and Federal Public Safety agencies to make Nogales a better place to live.&amp;nbsp; The mutual aid agreements we have with other Public Safety agencies, as well as the Bi-National Response Plan with Nogales, Sonora are effective tools that we have and can be activated when any emergency arises.&amp;rdquo;&amp;nbsp; He continued, &amp;ldquo;I am proud to be a firefighter and very happy to serve as the Fire Chief.&amp;nbsp; I would like to thank the City Manager for giving me the opportunity to serve as Fire Chief, and my staff for their hard work and dedication to our department.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;
