CITY OF NOGALES PLANNING AND ZONING MISSION STATEMENT To direct positive growth in a way that preserves, protects, and sustains the City of Nogales’ history, culture, and traditions. To maintain the City as a healthy, safe, and enjoyable place to live and work by ensuring that residential, commercial, and industrial development complies with City ordinances, codes, and standards; and strive to provide efficient and courteous service to the residents and community of Nogales. About Planning and Zoning: Planning and Zoning Department is responsible for providing support to the community by interpreting and implementing the General Plan, Zoning Ordinance, Cultural Heritage Ordinance, and Land Development Regulations and Standards as adopted the City Council. This consists of processing applications for all aspects of land development. The Department also serves as staff support to the Planning and Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustment, and Cultural Heritage Commission. Location: The Planning and Zoning Department is located on the first floor of the Public Works Administration Building at 1450 N.
